For many years the Mediterranean coast has attracted golfers from all over the globe. As a result Spain now offers some of the most spectacular and diverse golf courses in Europe.

 
Certainly the status of the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida as year round tourist destinations has been emphasized by the popularity amongst golfers. Many property developers feature golf as their prime attraction for potential investors, hence the ongoing development of new courses.

 
The Costa Calida, (Murcia) has more than 30 new courses in project planning over the next few years.

 
Investors often have a choice of golf rights when choosing their property abroad, the majority of clubs offer the simple pay ‘n’ play because of the “floating population” in holiday destinations. However you can opt for annual memberships through to Golf Shares.

Hacienda Riqeline is an apartment only development, this new resort will feature an 18 hole course (par 72) designed by Nickhans Design. 

Villamartin (Orihuela) – This challenging well maintained course offers variety enough that you will have to use all 14 clubs.

 
Real Club de Golf Campoamor (Orihuela) – This flexible course main challenge is the greens and sloped areas. It is suitable for amateur and professional players.

 
Las Ramblas (Orihuela) – This very challenging course will command concentration and precision due to the tricky narrow fairways.

 
La Marquesa (Rojales) – Not know to be a difficult course due to being situated in a valley between two mountains and a flat course, although some have lost golf balls in the lakes!

 
La Manga Golf Course (Los Belones) – Lovely course set with pine trees and surrounded by mountains offers three putting greens, driving range, practice bunk and short game area.

 
El Plantio (Elche) – This par 3 course is fun to play because of the varied greens and lovely lakes. This course will be extended in the future.

 
Alicante Golf (Alicante) – Very testing course created by Sevi Ballesteros is full of obstacles that will test the most experienced players due to the greens be protected by large cleverly placed bunkers.

 
Bonalba (Muxtamiel) – Rising from the Mediterranean sea near to the quiet town of Muxtamiel in Alicante is full of challenging obstacles but still great fun to play.

 
La Finca (Algorfa) – Located just outside the historic town of Orihuela this new course has many features and currently has 18 holes but will finish up as a 54 hole course. Beautiful scenery and a well maintained and designed course.
